Adesso is a horn recital work for NOW, as the title describes. It doesn't stay in the upper ranges of the horn and it doesn't culminate there, yet it requires drive and stamina nonetheless. Horn players have said that they don't want everything to be up high or for that matter, down low. What about loving the middle range of the horn? Adesso explores the range yet loves the middle.
